We have considerable experience in dealing with commercial leases both for Landlords and Tenants.
We advise on the terms to be included in the grant of new leases such as rent review provisions and security of tenure.
We deal with the selling or buying of existing leases (which can involve licences to assign) including the transfer of businesses as going concerns, planning, employment, tax and VAT issues.
We also act for tenants on the assigning of their leases and for tenants looking to take on an assignment of a lease. Our Commercial Property team deals with all aspects of these transactions including obtaining the landlord's consent to the assignment.
We also act for landlords whose consent is required by a tenant for an assignment of their lease.
