Leasehold Enfranchisement

Leasehold Enfranchisement legislation allows flat owners to either purchase the freehold of their block of flats or to extend their leases by a further ninety years.
The freeholder of the block must transfer the freehold title where a sufficient number of qualifying flat owners give notice of their desire to acquire it.
Also, an individual flat owner can require the landlord to extend their lease without having to involve any other flat owner.
We deal with all aspects of enfranchisement, whether for the flat owner(s) or the landlord, including service of all necessary notices and drafting or approval of all documentation.
