Senior Manager faces gross misconduct allegations

This senior manager sought our advice in relation to allegations of gross misconduct, on the basis of perpetrating a fraud against the employer. We assisted the employee across a protracted and stressful period of investigation by the employer. This was a case of damage limitation and the client was, as a result of our advice, very relieved to have kept his reputation intact.

Maternity Discrimination

Our client was a newly employed secretary. A few months into her employment she told her manager that she was pregnant. Virtually immediately, the organisation dismissed her, offering no reason for terminating her employment. We issued proceedings on the basis of sex discrimination and were able to secure an appropriate out of court settlement by way of compensation.

Highly Paid Executive Exit

We are regularly consulted by executives whose exit is being "managed" by their employer. We have rarely had to issue proceedings for our clients in these circumstances, managing instead to negotiate satisfactory settlements.
