Sarah Duffy

"Sarah Duffy is an excellent solicitor, we wouldn't have been able to successfully pursue a claim against our previous lawyers without her. We would recommend her to anyone who has been wronged by a professional, she really is at the top of her game."

    Mr & Mrs C, Surrey

    Sarah Duffy

Sarah is an Associate solicitor within the Professional Negligence department.

Sarah joined Seth Lovis in June 2015 and has spent the last 3 years expanding on her specialism in professional negligence.

Sarah obtained an undergraduate honours degree in English and Sociology from University College Dublin. Following her graduation, Sarah joined a top-tier firm in Dublin, working as a legal executive in the property department for over 3 years.

Sarah also completed the entrance exams for the Law Society of Ireland while working and was accepted to the Law Society Professional Practice Court in 2010, at which time Sarah commenced her legal training contract with a small general practice firm in County Wicklow.

During Sarah’s training contract, she received extensive, hands-on experience in civil litigation, family law and conveyancing, assisting on a High Court case which extended the law of tort in Ireland relating child abuse cases.

Shortly after qualifying as a Solicitor in December 2012, Sarah moved to London, where she secured a position as an associate solicitor in the professional negligence department of a city based firm. Sarah represented Claimants in financial mis-selling cases, pursuing claims against advisors and lending institutions for negligent advice relating to investments, pensions, mortgages and interest rate swaps. Sarah progressed complex, high value, County Court and High Court claims from pre-issue stage through to litigation and settlement.

Since moving to Seth Lovis & Co, Sarah has specialised in professional negligence claims against solicitors, barristers, accountants, surveyors and architects.

Sarah prides herself on her client care and her ability to connect with clients, to identify their needs and objectives at the outset of the claim. Conscious of some clients’ preference to settle claims rather than attend a trial, she utilises her longstanding experience in settlement negotiations and mediation to bring about acceptable resolutions.
